The Skeleton Key returns as a limited edition collaboration with Ty Kirsch of Chute Yea Designs, whose meticulous anodizing work has earned a dedicated following in the EDC community.

This edition is available in two distinct variations:

  1. "90s Fade": A bronze-to-blue gradient, named by Lucas Burnley.

  2. "Ode to BDB": A purple-to-green gradient, a personal favorite of John Brown of Scoopyloops.

Kirsch approaches titanium with the mindset of both craftsman and scientist, relying on precision, patience, and clean process over expensive equipment. Every piece begins with careful prep and is handled only with gloves from start to finish to preserve the purity of the surface and the integrity of the color.

Working from his home garage, Kirsch uses simple tools, sharp discipline, and a deep understanding of the chemistry behind anodizing to create vivid, one-of-a-kind finishes. Each pattern is layered by hand, never laser cut, producing controlled results born from repetition and refined technique rather than automation.

Milled from solid Grade 5 titanium, the Skeleton Key is a precision-built companion to your everyday knife, ready for the cutting, prying, and turning tasks that shouldn’t fall to your blade. Its flat edge can open boxes, the pry tip and driver handle daily utility, and the integrated E-key and bottle opener add versatility to pocket or keychain carry. The Skeleton Key was built to supplement your capabilities in any situation. Each anodized S Key carries its own fingerprint of process and material.

Good
Size: X-Large, Color: Riviera Blue, Size: X-Large, Color: Riviera Blue
I got XL which is my normal size. It’s a bit roomy which I think is exactly what I wanted for a work shirt. I wanted it to be a no tuck shirt, but it’s too long for that. I’m really disappointed there, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The sleeves are a bit long, but my arms are short, so I will modify it or roll them up, not an uncommon problem for me with shirts but it’s not too bad either. The material is soft and would be good for summer or under a jacket. Someone posted about the collar being messy and that made me nervous to get this shirt, but I have washed it once and the collar remains in good shape. It stands up properly. The wrinkleproof seems to be pretty good.

Good shirt
Size: X-Large, Color: Bel Air Blue
This is a good shirt, I’m 5’ 9” and 220 (old dad bod 50’s), it fits well and the sleeves are a good length. My only thing I don’t like and this is nit-picking: it wrinkles easy. I’m ex military so I like my shirts ironed or pressed, I get it it’s more casual, it’s just my preference. This is a comfortable shirt

Fair quality shirt
Size: Large, Color: Port Red
Decent shirt. No shirt if wrinkle-free so take these claims with a grain of salt. The fabric blend will tell you just how much it will wrinkle. If you leave it in the dryer overnight you can guarantee that even if it was made of cast iron, it would likely have a wrinkle or two. Don't be swayed by a 'label'. The same shirt can have a no-name label sewn on it. Doesn't make the shirt better or worse. It is what it is. Size runs correct. NOT a 'slim fit' shirt, fyi.
